Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board has released Advertisement Notification No. 01 of 2026 for direct recruitment to various UT cadre posts under the Health and Medical Education Department in Jammu and Kashmir. A total of 239 vacancies have been announced.
According to the official notification, online applications will begin from 24 February 2026, while the last date to submit application forms is 25 March 2026. The recruitment process will follow existing government rules and regulations, and candidates must meet all eligibility conditions before applying.

• Maximum age for Open Merit category: 40 years.
• Reserved categories including SC, ST, RBA, ALC/IB, EWS and OBC: up to 43 years.
• Physically challenged candidates: up to 42 years.
• Ex-servicemen: up to 48 years.
Application fee:
• General category: Rs 600
• SC, ST, EWS and PwBD categories: Rs 500
• Payment must be done online through banking or card methods.
Examination pattern:
• Objective type multiple choice questions.
• Question paper will be in English only.
• Negative marking of one-fourth mark for each wrong answer.
Important instructions:
• Candidate admission will remain provisional until document verification.
• Educational and reservation certificates must be valid before the cut-off date.
• False or invalid documents may lead to cancellation of candidature and legal action.
The board stated that detailed post-wise qualifications, category breakup and selection criteria are available in Annexure-A of the official notification, while the syllabus will be released separately on the official website.
