Srinagar, Oct 30: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has issued a new order revising school timings for both government and recognized private schools across the Kashmir Division, effective from November 1, 2025.
According to Order No. 309-DSEK of 2025, schools falling within Srinagar Municipal limits will now function from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Meanwhile, schools located outside the municipal limits of Srinagar District and other areas of Kashmir Province will operate from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm.
The Directorate has directed all concerned institutions to strictly follow the new schedule without any deviation. The order has also been circulated to officials including the Secretary of the School Education Department, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Deputy Commissioners, and Chief Education Officers for immediate implementation and wide publicity.
The change in timing comes as part of the routine seasonal adjustment made every year to align school hours with the region’s changing daylight conditions.
