Schools in Jammu Division to Remain Closed on August 25 Due to Bad Weather




Jammu— In response to worsening weather conditions across the region, the Directorate of School Education Jammu has announced the closure of all government and private schools in the Jammu Division for Monday, August 25, 2025.


The decision was formalized through an official order issued by Mushtaq Ahmed, Joint Director of School Education Jammu. The directive cites "inclement and bad weather conditions" as the reason for the precautionary measure, aiming to ensure the safety of students and staff.


The order, numbered DSEJ/GEN/49351-83 and dated August 24, 2025, has been circulated to key government officials and departments, including the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Deputy Commissioners of all districts in the division, and Chief Education Officers. The Information Department has been requested to ensure wide publicity through both print and electronic media.


Parents and guardians are advised to keep children indoors and follow updates from local authorities regarding any further developments.
