BSF Announces Major Recruitment Drive for Over 1,000 Head Constable Posts

 New Delhi, India – August 26, 2025 – The Border Security Force (BSF) has announced a major recruitment drive, opening applications for over 1,000 vacancies for the posts of Head Constable (Radio Operator) and Head Constable (Radio Mechanic). This initiative aims to strengthen India’s premier border guarding force with skilled technical personnel.

📢 Key Highlights:

· Total Posts: 998 (811 for Radio Operator, 187 for Radio Mechanic)

· Eligibility: Open to 10th + ITI pass and 12th (PCM) pass candidates.

· Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level-4, with a salary range of ₹25,500 – ₹81,100 plus allowances.

· Application Window: Online applications open from August 24, 2025, to September 23, 2025.

🎯 Recruitment Process:

The selection will be conducted in three phases:

1. Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

2. Computer-Based Test (CBT) covering Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and General Knowledge

3. Document Verification, Dictation Test (for Radio Operator), and Medical Examination
