The Directorate of Admissions and Competitive Examinations (DACE) announced that eligible candidates can apply online through the official University of Kashmir website. The online registration process started on 03 March 2026 and will remain open until 10 April 2026.
Students who have already passed Class 12 can apply under the non-provisional category. Students who have appeared in Class 12 or whose results are still awaited can apply under the provisional category. However, such candidates must submit proof of eligibility before 18 May 2026. If a candidate fails to upload the required eligibility details, the university may cancel the admission even if the student has appeared in the entrance test.
The Kashmir University Entrance Test will be conducted for admission to several integrated master's programmes such as Applied Geology, Arabic, BA-LLB, Botany, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Electronics, Energy Studies, Hindi, Home Science, Kashmiri, Linguistics, Media Studies, Persian, Physics, Sanskrit, and Tourism and Travel Management.
Apart from integrated master's courses, the university is also offering admission to four-year undergraduate programmes including the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP), Design Your Degree programme at IOT Zakura campus, and Music and Fine Arts programmes including BPA and BVA.
Candidates must fill out the application form online by registering on the official website. After registration, applicants need to log in, enter personal and academic details, upload their photograph, select programme preferences, and pay the application fee online.
The application fee is ₹900 for one programme. Candidates who wish to apply for additional programmes must pay ₹250 for each extra programme selected in the same application form. The fee is non-refundable and must be paid through online payment modes.
Applicants are advised to submit the form well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues. After completing the application process, candidates should download and keep a printed copy of the submitted application form and fee receipt for future reference.
The university has clarified that candidates are not required to submit a hard copy of the application form. However, the documents and eligibility certificates will be verified by the concerned department at the time of admission if the candidate is selected.
Kashmir University will announce the detailed entrance test schedule on its official website in the coming weeks. Students interested in applying for these programmes should carefully read the admission guidelines available in the official prospectus before submitting the online form.
Kashmir University has started the online application process for the Kashmir University Entrance Test (KUET) for admission to various 5-year Integrated Masters and 4-year Undergraduate programmes for the academic session 2026.
