The National Testing Agency has reopened the online application portal for the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate courses 2026. The decision comes after several requests from students who missed the earlier deadline.
CUET UG 2026 will be conducted in Computer Based Test mode from May 11 to May 31, 2026. The exam will take place across India and in selected cities outside the country.
Fresh Application Window
The application portal is now open again from the afternoon of February 23, 2026. Students can submit their forms and pay the required fee until February 26, 2026, up to 11:50 PM.
Earlier, the registration process started on January 3 and closed on January 30, 2026. The last date for fee payment was January 31. The deadline was later extended to February 4, and the fee payment window remained open until February 7.
After receiving multiple representations from candidates seeking more time, NTA has now provided this special extension.

Why CUET UG Matters
CUET UG has become the central gateway for admission to undergraduate programmes in central universities and several other participating institutions across India. Lakhs of students appear in the exam every year to secure seats in top universities.
With this final reopening of the portal, students who missed earlier deadlines now have one more opportunity to apply. After February 26, no further extension is expected. Candidates are advised to complete the process well before the last date to avoid technical issues.
