The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board has issued provisional selection lists for 800 Junior Engineer posts across key departments in the Union Territory. The selections cover Electrical and Civil disciplines under two separate advertisement notifications.
Junior Engineer Electrical
Under Advertisement Notification No. 02 of 2025 dated 27 February 2025, JKSSB has released the provisional selection list for 292 posts of Junior Engineer Electrical in the Power Development Department.
The vacancies were distributed among:
• J&K Power Transmission Corporation Limited
• Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited
• Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited
• J&K Power Corporation Limited
Selection process included:
• OMR based written examination held on 25 October 2025
• Result notification issued on 24 November 2025
• Document verification conducted in December 2025
• Final approval in the Board meeting held on 11 February 2026
The selection remains provisional. It is subject to court cases, pending inquiries, and verification of documents. Candidates can submit objections within 15 days from the date of notification through the official email mentioned in the notice.
Junior Engineer Civil
JKSSB has also issued the provisional selection list for 508 posts of Junior Engineer Civil under Advertisement Notification No. 03 of 2025 dated 24 April 2025.
These posts belong to:
• Public Works Department R&B
• Jal Shakti Department
The recruitment process included:
• OMR based written examination conducted on 2 November 2025
• Result declared on 24 November 2025
• Document verification in December 2025 including supplementary verification
• Selection approved in the Board meeting held on 21 February 2026
Like the Electrical list, this selection is also provisional. It will remain subject to legal proceedings, objections, and verification of certificates.
