J&K Sainik School Manasbal Admission 2026: Fee Structure, Exam Pattern, Dates, and Application Details Announced


 

Jammu and Kashmir Sainik School Manasbal has released detailed information for Admission 2026 along with the prospectus of the Jammu and Kashmir Sainik School Entrance Examination (JKSSSEE) 2026. The admission process covers Class 6, Class 9, and Class 11 and will be conducted strictly through online mode.


Online Application and Important Dates

Online submission of the application form along with payment of application fee through credit card, debit card, or net banking will start from 20 December 2025 and remain open till 10 February 2026 (5:00 PM). The application fee for all categories is Rs. 550, which is non-refundable. Admit cards are tentatively scheduled to be available for download from 05 March 2026. The entrance examination is tentatively fixed for 15 March 2026 (Sunday) from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with a duration of 150 minutes.

Eligibility and Mode of Examination

Only boys candidates are eligible to apply. Applications must be submitted online only through the official website. The entrance examination will be conducted in OMR-based multiple-choice question format. Examination centres will be mentioned on the admit card.

Exam Pattern and Marks Distribution

For Class 6 and Class 9, the question paper will carry 135 questions for a total of 270 marks. Subjects include Mathematics, Intelligence/Reasoning, English, General Science, and Social Science or GK.

For Class 11, the paper will consist of 140 questions carrying 280 marks, covering Mathematics, Intelligence/Reasoning, General Science, and English. Each correct answer carries 2 marks.

Fee Structure and Charges

The yearly tuition fee varies based on family income. Students belonging to Below Poverty Line category are exempted from tuition fee but must pay catering and other charges. Catering charges are Rs. 14,500 per year, while one-time other charges are Rs. 7,000. The total annual charges range from Rs. 21,500 to Rs. 40,280, depending on income group.

A refundable caution money of Rs. 7,000 is payable at the time of admission. In addition, pocket money of Rs. 12,000 is required to meet contingency expenses.

Medical Facilities and Examination

The school provides medical facilities including a twelve-bedded hospital and periodic medical check-ups. All candidates must undergo a medical examination conducted by a board notified by the J&K Government as per school rules before final admission.

Important Instructions

Only one application is allowed per candidate. Submission of multiple forms will lead to rejection. Candidates must strictly follow the instructions mentioned in the prospectus available on the official website.
