Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board has announced a major recruitment drive for the J&K Police. A total of 1815 Constable Executive posts have been notified, bringing relief and hope to thousands of unemployed youth across the Union Territory.
According to the official notification, the recruitment is open only to candidates holding a valid J&K domicile. The minimum educational qualification required is 10th pass, making this one of the biggest opportunities for candidates seeking a government job at the matric level.
The age limit for applicants is 18 to 28 years, calculated as on 01 January 2025. Online applications will start from 19 January 2026, and the last date to apply is 17 February 2026. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
The selection process will be conducted in multiple stages. It includes a written examination, followed by Physical Standard Test and Physical Endurance Test. Candidates who qualify these stages will undergo a medical examination. The written test will be objective in nature, conducted in English, and will include negative marking.
Officials stated that this recruitment aims to strengthen the police force and provide employment opportunities to local youth. Candidates are advised to apply only through the official JKSSB website and carefully read the notification before submitting the form.
This recruitment drive is being seen as a significant step toward addressing unemployment and offering stable government jobs to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
