JKSSB Announces 390 Vacancies Across Multiple Departments; Applications Open from January 27 Download PDF

 




The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially released Advertisement Notification No. 13 of 2025, announcing a total of 390 vacancies across various government departments in Jammu and Kashmir. The recruitment includes UT, Divisional, and District Cadre posts and offers opportunities for candidates ranging from 10th pass to graduates and technical qualification holders.


According to the notification issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board, online applications will commence from January 27, 2026, and the last date for submission of application forms is February 25, 2026. Candidates are advised not to wait until the last date to avoid technical issues.


The highest number of vacancies has been announced in the Jal Shakti Department with 121 posts, followed by the Agriculture Production Department with 88 posts and the Industries and Commerce Department with 87 posts. Other participating departments include the Social Welfare Department with 36 posts, the Transport Department with 40 posts, and the Cooperative Department with 18 posts.

The recruitment covers a wide range of posts such as Stock Assistant, Fisheries Development Assistant, Junior Supervisor, Sub Auditor, Assistant Handicrafts Training Officer, Assistant Handloom Training Officer, Works Supervisor, Supervisor under Poshan Abhiyaan, Motor Vehicle Inspector, Motor Vehicle Traffic Assistant, and technical posts under the State Motor Garages Department including Fitter, Mechanic, Greaser, Washer, Stores Officer, and Upholster.


Eligibility criteria vary by post. Candidates must be domiciles of Jammu and Kashmir and possess a valid domicile certificate issued on or before the last date of application. The age limit is calculated as on January 1, 2025. For Open Merit candidates, the upper age limit is 40 years, while reserved category candidates are eligible for age relaxation up to 43 years. Ex-Servicemen can apply up to the age of 48 years.


The application fee has been fixed at Rs. 600 for General category candidates, while candidates belonging to SC, ST, EWS, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are required to pay Rs. 500. The fee must be paid online and is non-refundable.


The selection process will be conducted through an objective-type written examination consisting of multiple-choice questions. The question paper will be in English language only, and there will be negative marking of one-fourth of the marks assigned to each question for every wrong answer. The syllabus for the examination will be notified separately on the official JKSSB website.


JKSSB has clarified that candidature at the examination stage will be provisional and subject to verification of original documents during the document verification process. Any discrepancy found at a later stage may lead to cancellation of candidature.
