The J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has invited online applications for 518 vacancies under Advertisement Notification No. 08 of 2026, dated 04 August 2026. Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
- A valid Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority on or before the cut-off date (09.10.2026) is mandatory.
- As prescribed in Annexure-A (post-wise details).
- Qualifications must be acquired on or before the cut-off date.
- For equivalent qualifications, an Equivalence Certificate from the competent authority is required.

Note: For posts like Horticulture Technician and Senior Canning Attendant, the training certificate must be from a recognized government, ICAR, or UGC-affiliated institution. For Junior Laboratory Assistant, preference is given to candidates with a PG Diploma in Professional Laboratory Course.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a written/OMR examination consisting of objective-type multiple-choice questions. The exam will be set in English only. A separate syllabus will be notified on the JKSSB website. For most posts, the final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination only.
- No interview or personality test for most posts (as per indent).
- Document Verification (DV) will be conducted for shortlisted candidates.
- Candidates must produce all original certificates (Domicile, Qualification, Category, etc.) at the time of DV.
