The School Education Department has extended the timeline for granting one-time exemption. This applies to teachers and staff who completed higher qualifications during service. Many employees completed degrees through distance or online mode.
Earlier, the department allowed exemption through Government Order No. 188-JK(Edu) of 2024. It also created committees to verify degrees. These committees checked authenticity and equivalence of qualifications.
The committees were given two months to complete their work. However, many cases remained pending. Due to this delay, the department reviewed the situation again.
As per the official order shown on page 1 and page 2 of the document , the government decided to extend the deadline. The Director School Education Kashmir also requested this extension.
Now, all pending cases must be completed before the new deadline. The committees must submit their recommendations on time. This ensures fair processing of all applications.
