The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board has released two major Final Selection Lists for Constable posts in Jammu and Kashmir Police under Notification No. 01 of 2024 dated 16 July 2024.
Both lists were approved in the 339th Board meeting held on 19 February 2026 and notified on 20 February 2026.
First, the Board declared the Final Selection List for 502 posts of Constable Telecommunication under Item No. 03. The written exam was conducted on 08 December 2024. Physical tests, document verification, and medical examination were completed in phases up to February 2026 before final approval.
Second, the Board issued the Final Selection List for 3478 Constable posts under Item Nos. 1, 2, 5 and 6. These include:
• Constable Armed / IRP
• Constable SDRF
• Constable Executive Police Jammu Division
• Constable Executive Police Kashmir Division
The written exam for these posts was held on 01 December 2024. Physical tests were conducted between August and October 2025. Document verification followed in October and November 2025. Medical examinations were completed in February 2026.
The selections remain subject to court cases, pending inquiries, and final verification of character, antecedents, and documents by the appointing authority. Formal recommendations will be sent separately to the Home Department.
