Uniform Dress Code Made Mandatory for Students and Staff in Doda Schools


 


The Office of the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Doda has issued fresh directions mandating a uniform dress code for students in government schools and formal attire for teaching and non-teaching staff from the upcoming academic session.


The order, issued on 26 August 2025, follows instructions from the Directorate of Samagra Shiksha to ensure uniformity, discipline, and a sense of equality among students.


Student Dress Code (Government Schools):


Elementary Level: Light Pink shirt with Coffee-Coloured pant/lower. Girls will wear matching dupatta.


PM SHRI Schools (Elementary Level): Beige-Coloured shirt with Olive Green lower. Dupatta for girls in same colour. Logo of PM SHRI will be mandatory.


Secondary Level: Light Blue shirt with Grey lower. Girls with same colour dupatta.


Higher Secondary Level: White shirt with Dark Chocolate-Coloured pant/lower. Girls with same colour dupatta.


✓In all categories, students must wear Black Shoes with White or Grey socks.


✓Staff Dress Code (Teaching and Non-Teaching):


✓Only formal wear has been prescribed for all school staff.


✓Round-neck T-shirts are strictly prohibited during duty hours.


✓All staff must carry their official identity cards.



The order also directs schools to inform parents well in advance and ensure Aadhaar-linked bank accounts of students (Classes 1 to 8) for smooth transfer of uniform grants.

The CEO has made it clear that the instructions must be strictly followed by all ZEOs, heads of institutions, and staff across the district. Any deviation will be taken seriously.
