Srinagar, Dec 06: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is planning to commence the annual regular exams for 10th, 11th, and 12th grades in the third week of February 2025.
A senior JKBOSE official told Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that while exact dates are yet to be finalized, the exams are tentatively scheduled to take place between February 10 and February 15.
“This year, we aim to conduct the exams a month earlier than usual, aligning the academic schedule with the previous November-December session,” the official stated.
Regarding result announcements, the official mentioned that evaluating the answer sheets and preparing results will take approximately 45-50 days, with additional time required for final preparations.
To ensure students don’t lose valuable time, provisional admissions will be offered while they await their results.
Earlier, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced plans to shift the academic session for grades up to 9th to November-December, leaving 10th to 12th grade exams under the March session temporarily. He assured that by 2025, exams for higher classes would also revert to the November-December cycle, concluding before the winter break. —(KNO)
